KRAEMER GALLERY: NEW STEP IN NEW YORK FOR ITS WORLD TOUR

THE KRAEMER GALLERY will present THE SALON: ART+DESIGN in NEW-YORK

(Booth B7) from 12 to 16 november 2015.

KRAEMER GALLERY NEW STEP IN NEW YORK FOR ITS WORLD TOUR celebrating their 140th Anniversary.

THE CULTURE NEWS strongly recommends you to visit this unique exhibition from KRAEMER GALLERY, one of the most distinguished gallery in the world.

For six generations, Kraemer Gallery became the world reference for 18th century pieces of furniture and objets d’art of exquisite quality.

Since 1875, Kraemer Gallery has been developing a tradition of discretion and excellence while regularly welcoming art lovers and great interior decorators to its Parisian “hotel particulier”, 43 rue de Monceau, where is displayed an exceptional collection of creations from Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI periods.

To celebrate its 140th anniversary, Kraemer Gallery chose to present some masterpieces from their collection to international collectors.

The visitors will also admire this pair of Louis XVI ewers in blue faïence of Nevers mounted with chased, open-work and gilded bronzes.

After Singapour, Hong Kong, London, Shanghai and a hugely acclaimed event in Paris during the Fiac, The Salon : Art+Design in New-York is an important step in their international program of exhibition.

In a resolutely contemporary scenography, the booth highlights the outstanding quality of pieces of furniture and objets d’art’ selection from renowned or royal origin.

Among the last masterpieces exhibited in their “maison galerie”, some of them will take place in New-York, like for instance this armchair, part of a set of four Louis XVI seats comprising four carved, moulded and giltwood armchairs, stamped by Jean-Baptiste Delaunay.

“At the Kraemer Gallery, rare pieces of furniture are a family saga. In the family, eyes gleam at the mere evocation of Marie Antoinette’s writing table from the Petit Trianon, or the King’s and the Dauphin’s barometers, the chairs of Madame du Barry, a porcelain vase in the Louvre, a memorable marquetry piece or a Boulle armoire now to be found at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, all of them objects that have passed through their hands.

One understands why generations of prestigious customers have sensed this, the Rothschilds, once upon a time the Camondos and Castellanes, then Henry Ford Jr., Christian Dior, J.Paul Getty and, in more recent times, the Agnelli family, Jackie Kennedy and Karl Lagerfeld.” reveals the French author Pierre Assouline.

KRAEMER GALLERY

1875-2015 : 140 years or excellence

Authenticity, beauty, rarity, and originality: such are the key words that have guided Gallery Kraemer's decisions since 1875.

Not only is Maison Kraemer the oldest Parisian gallery specializing in the finest 17th and 18th century furniture, it is also the most renowned.

Resolutely turned to the future, the family Gallery is flouting the conventions of the 18th century, with their innovative and contemporary scenography, resembling certain rooms of the mansion at 43, Rue de Monceau, Paris, where is displayed the world’s largest selection.

For six generations, it attracts the attention of private collectors and great international museums such as : The Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), The J.Paul Getty Museum (Los Angeles), The Museum of Fine Art (Boston), The Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Cleveland Museum of Arts, The Detroit Institute of Arts, The Birmingham Museum of Art (Alabama), The White House (Washington D.C.), The Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco – Legion of Honor, The Frick Collection (New York), Musée du Louvre (Paris), Château de Versailles, Musée Nissim de Camondo (Paris).
