Royal Air Maroc honors David Serero

Royal Air Maroc, a national Moroccan airline wholly owned by the Moroccan government, presents on their magazine Royal Air Maroc Magazine the portraits of the fifteen most influential Moroccans worldwide who have achieved significant recognition in their professional world. Among them is star actor Said Taghmaoui (John Wick 3, Wonder Woman, Three Kings, and more), Sidney Toledano (President of Dior), and opera singer David Serero. The photos of the 15 honorees have been displayed on the cover of Royal Air Maroc magazine for the July/August edition, available on every airline flight.

David Serero is an opera singer, actor, and producer living in New York. He was born in Paris of Moroccan origins (his father is from Fès). After performing all the primary roles of the classic repertoire (Nabucco, Don Giovanni, Cyrano, Romeo, Shylock, Figaro, Napoleon, King Lear, and more), David Serero has decided to bring Morocco into his busy schedule. He brought Morocco to New York theatre stages from New York by adapting Shakespeare’s Othello in a Moroccan style, adding even classic Moroccan songs. As the NY Sephardic Jewish Film Festival producer, he has promoted Moroccan films. He is the artistic director of the American Sephardi Music Festival, where he has invited several Moroccan artists to showcase their talents and culture. Serge Berdugo has received the Trophy of Culture for his contribution to Moroccan culture. He has participated in several concerts in Casablanca, El Jadida, and more. He has recently donated part of his Judaica collection to the Jewish Museum of Casablanca, making it the largest donation of Judaica artifacts ever donated to a Moroccan museum. Mr. Serero wishes to bring more opera to Morocco with his opera festival. He will make his solo debut concert in Casablanca at the Studio des Arts Vivants (one of the most important concert halls of Morocco) on October 22nd, 2019, and will perform for the Marrakesh Fashion Week with the Oriental Fashion Show on September 28th, 2019.
