The YLA Annual Winter Gala brings together hundreds of young professionals for an evening of dinner, drinks, dessert, and dancing. A special Yad Vashem exhibit will be featured throughout the night. In addition, there will be a silent auction and "fishbowl" auction with dozens of selections available.
The proceeds from this year's YLA Gala will support the American Society for Yad Vashem's initiative to provide Yad Vashem programming on college campuses. Every day it becomes clearer that antisemitism is on the rise around the world, particularly on university campuses. Universities have become major sites for the expression and dissemination of antisemitism, Holocaust denial, and Holocaust distortion. As the World Holocaust Remembrance Center, Yad Vashem is uniquely qualified to educate about the dangers of hate and ignorance. By educating tomorrow's leaders about the Shoah, we are honoring the memory of the victims, the legacies of the survivors, and helping to ensure a safer world for future generations.
