CHICAGO TO HONOR FASHION ICON ELIE TAHARI AT CHICAGO PREMIERE OF “ELIE TAHARI: The Documentary” BY DAVID SERERO
Legendary designer Elie Tahari will appear as guest of honor at the Chicago Fashion Summit during Chicago Fashion Week; director and producer David Serero will attend the screening and post-film Q&A.
Chicago’s fashion community will welcome internationally renowned designer Elie Tahari as guest of honor at the Chicago Fashion Summit on Tuesday, October 13, at mHUB, 1623 W. Fulton Street, as part of Chicago Fashion Week. Presented by the Apparel Industry Board, Inc. (AIBI), the event will celebrate Tahari’s contributions to the fashion world with the Fashion Design Legacy Award and the Chicago premiere of ELIE TAHARI: The Documentary.
David Serero, the film’s director and producer, will attend with Tahari, and they will both participate in a Q&A after the screening. The premiere brings the designer’s story to Chicago audiences for the first time, offering a chance to see the documentary and hear directly from its subject and filmmaker.
The United States of Elie Tahari explores an extraordinary American Dream: an immigrant’s journey from humble beginnings to a lasting place in American fashion. Through Tahari’s personal story, the documentary examines the determination, creativity, and entrepreneurial ambition behind a career spanning more than five decades.
