Acclaimed filmmaker David Serero will present his latest film, Richard Orlinski, The Art Documentary, featuring the renowned French sculptor, at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2025 on May 19th at the Palais des Festivals. This highly anticipated premiere celebrates Orlinski’s creative journey, offering an intimate look at his artistic process and the philosophy behind his globally recognized sculptures.

Richard Orlinski, renowned for his striking modernist animal sculptures and vibrant pop art aesthetic, has captivated audiences worldwide. In Richard Orlinski: The Art Documentary, Serero explores the sculptor’s inspirations, challenges, and rise to international acclaim, blending rare behind-the-scenes footage, exclusive interviews, and stunning visuals of Orlinski’s masterpieces.

The film features iconic figures such as Hublot’s CEO Ricardo Guadalupe, Disney’s Jean-David Marque, Kooples’s founder Alexander Elicha, actress Eva Longoria, music artists Tayc and John Mamann, TV host Bernard Montiel, F1 driver Romain Grosjean, comedian Laurent Baffie, celebrity agent Mani Nordine, art mogul Robert Bartoux, French Secretary of State Marlène Schiappa, actress Adriana Karembeu, and journalists Marion Grosjean and Laurence Rémila, among others.

With Richard Orlinski, The Art Documentary, Serero continues his tradition of compelling storytelling, following his acclaimed works on figures such as Hélène Grimaud, Elie Tahari, Lisa Azuelos, Christophe Rocancourt, and his most recent film on fashion designer Jeff Hamilton. This latest documentary reaffirms his commitment to celebrating creativity and artistic excellence on the big screen.


The film’s official screening date at the Cannes Film Festival is Monday, May 19th, at 6 p.m. at the Palais des Festivals (Salle G). On that same night, the official after-party will take place at Cannes’s most prestigious nightlife spot: Chrystie.
