Spring performances feature Daniele Rustioni in his Met debut conducting

Krassimira Stoyanova as the title character, Violeta Urmana as Amneris, and

Jorge de León (in his Met debut) and Riccardo Massi as Radamès.

New York, NY – Verdi’s tragedy of ancient Egypt, Aida, returns to the Met on November 5 with Liudmyla Monastyrska and Latonia Moore, both acclaimed for their performances of the title role in past Met seasons, as the enslaved Ethiopian princess. Marco Berti sings the war hero Radamès and Ekaterina Gubanova makes her company role debut as Aida’s formidable rival, Amneris. The cast is rounded out by Mark Delavan as Aida’s father Amonasro, Dmitri Belosselskiy as the high priest Ramfis, and Soloman Howard as the King. Marco Armiliato will conduct performances through December 2.

From March 23 to April 20, Daniele Rustioni makes his Met debut conducting Aida with Krassimira Stoyanova adding a new role to her Met repertory as the title character. Violeta Urmana reprises the role of Amneris with Jorge de León and Riccardo Massi sharing the role of Radamès. The cast also features George Gagnidze as Amonasro, James Morris as Ramfis, and Morris Robinson as the King for three performances.
