Union Square's debut “In Residence” partner is mixed media artist Maxwell N. Burnstein. A Toronto native, Burnstein transformed the W New York — Union Square’s Living Room into an electric experience with a multidimensional graphic installation.
Burnstein teamed up with globally inspired luxury brand, Baja East, and NYC-based photographer, Alexander Saladrigas, on the source material for the exhibit. A sensory experience that draws influence from New York Men’s Fashion Week and the hotel’s vibrant location, Burnstein’s “In Residence” exhibit will celebrate New York City’s world of underground art, fashion, and culture.
The Living Room at W New York — Union Square. The address is 201 Park Ave South @17th Street
Burnstein’s handmade and graphic vinyl artwork will draw influence from the hotel’s vibrant location and New York Men’s Fashion Week — which is happening during the week of the exhibit.
The hotel will be rolling out additional interesting elements as part of the “In Residence” Program:
Guests who book suites will receive a complimentary limited-edition print
Guests can purchase select works by obtaining a secret email address after presenting their room key to the front desk
Exclusive stickers of Burnstein’s artwork will be put in hotel guest rooms during the exhibit.
